About This Tool

What PinGrab Actually Does

PinGrab is a lightweight web utility that reads the publicly available information on a Pinterest pin page and surfaces a direct link to the original media file hosted on Pinterest's own content delivery network. It doesn't store your pins, it doesn't create an account for you, and it doesn't ask for your Pinterest password.

Under the hood, the tool resolves shortened pin.it links, requests the public pin page, and looks for the media reference Pinterest embeds on every pin — falling back to a couple of alternate detection methods if the first one comes up empty. If a pin is private, deleted, or region-locked, the tool will tell you plainly instead of guessing.

Only public pins can be processed. Private boards and pins that require a login cannot be accessed by this or any similar tool.

Benefits

Why It's Worth Using Over "Right-Click, Save"

Image resolution Limited to the preview size shown on screen Original uploaded resolution
Video pins Not possible with a screenshot Full MP4 file, when publicly available
Mobile devices Awkward, often saves a compressed preview Same clean flow as desktop
Carousel pins One slide at a time, manually All public slides listed together
